So pleased! I’ve always rescued grown dogs, you know, “adopt don’t buy”. That changed for me recently when I was unable to find a small breed dog at my local shelter. (I’m an older woman and can’t handle a big dog.) They wouldn’t agree to call me or put me on a waiting list for a small dog. They said, “First come, first served”. So the day I got to our local shelter at 12:02pm (2 minutes after they opened) for a posted mini-dachshund to find him already adopted, I was over it.
That afternoon, my daughter and I drove to Pets-N-Pals. I was introduced to several cuties and fell in love with a floofy Cavapom!
Emily was very helpful and Little Bear (formerly Toni) is a perfect little companion for me. Super friendly with visitors. And so smart! Two weeks and he’s already pad trained, going independently. He’s also learned “sit” and “leave it”! Well socialized, it’s clear his breeder cared about his pups!
